- J. N. Anderson Absent, on Scout, in December of 1861. Slightly wounded at the Battle of Murfreesboro. Listed as "Killed by the enemy" in Kentucky on August 18, 1863 (possibly in operations against General Burnside's movement from Lexington, Kentucky toward Tennessee).

- T. L. Bailey Enlisted on May 25, 1861 at Gainesville in the Texas Militia unit. He was 27 years old at the time. In the CSA records he is shown present only on the 1861 Muster Roll. No further record.

- J. G. Bates Enlisted March 4, 1862 at Frog Bayou, Arkansas by Captain Twitty. Listed as absent since May 5, 1862 at Grand Junction, Mississippi on the 1862 Muster. No further record.

- W. R. Bean Enlisted on May 25, 1861 at Gainesville in the Texas Militia unit. He was 27 years old at the time. Private Bean served through the entire war. He was present for surrender at Citronelle, Alabama on May 4, 1865 under the command of Lieutenant G. W. Sherwood. Paroled at Columbus, Mississippi on May 16, 1865. Residence given on Parole was Grayson County, Texas.

- John Berry Enlisted on May 25, 1861 at Gainesville in the Texas Militia unit. He was 21 years old at the time. Later, he was discharged from the CSA for disability by Captain J. B. Puryear at Camp Priceville, Tuscombia, Mississippi on June 20, 1862. Surgeon John W. Rainey found him unfit for duty due to Chronic Diarreha and Bronchitis. A Certificate of Discharge states that Berry was born in Jackson County, Alabama, was 21 years old and had been a Farmer prior to the War.

He was 22 years old at the time. He was present for all Confederate muster rolls. Reference slip sent to the Chairman, Board of Oklahoma Pension Commissioners on June 26, 1915.

- J. J. Fox Enlisted on February 14, 1862 at Boston Mountains, Arkansas. Present until listed as: "Deserted from camps near Rome, Georgia on August 3, 1863. Federal records show name appearing on a roll of Deserters from the Rebel Army, captured September 2, 1863 near Elkton, Alabama. Charges on the roll read: "Deserter to be forwarded to Louisville and released on taking oath, by order of Maj. Gen'l Rosecrans." Sent to Camp Chase from Louisville on September 28th and received there on September 30th of 1863. Died at Camp Chase on January 31, 1864. Buried in Grave No. 102, located "1/3 miles S.C.C." It is believed that "S.C.C." means: south of Camp Chase.

- T. W. Gahagan Wounded in the battle of Richmond, Kentucky and taken prisoner. Paroled and exchanged near Vicksburg on board the steamer Metropolitan. Major N. G. Watts, C.S.A. and Captain W. W. Bickford, U.S.A. supervised the exchange. Reported for duty again on December 22, 1862. Present until listed as absent, sick at Rome, Georgia from August 15, 1863 is in remarks for last two muster rolls. Received Forage for his horse at hospital in Rome, Georgia on October 23rd and December 1st of 1863. The October Forage requisition papers show Gahagan certified as a patient by E. M. Vasser, Assistant Surgeon, P.A.C.S. Appears on a Register at C.S.A. General Hospital at Charlotte, North Carolina on March 7, 1865 with (nearly illegible, looking like) "Fibris Int. Quot".

- Henry T. Hill Enlisted June 18, 1862 at Gainesville, Cooke County, Texas by J. J. Diamond. Note that this is after Colonel Diamond had been discharged. Absent, sick at Loundon, Tennessee for 1862 muster roll. Used private horse on remounting of Regiment from January 26, 1863. Went to Saint Mary's Hospital in Dalton, Georgia on June 27, 1863 with "Rheumatismus C". Was in Convelescent Camp at Dalton, Georgia on August 2, 1863. Absent, sick in Georgia since November 5, 1863 and not heard from since is remarked on the final muster roll.

- Alfred M. Hodges Mustered into the Texas Militia on May 25, 1861 at Gaineville. He was 23 years old at the time. He was absent, on Scout, for 1861 CSA muster roll. Hodges was then present for 1862 muster roll and until captured by enemy on May 21st or 27th, 1863 (both dates mentioned) near Readyville, Tennessee. Federal prison records state that he was captured June 22, 1863 near "Brandyville" and "Bridgeville", Tennessee. Hodges was sent to Camp Chase, Ohio via the Military Prison at Louisville, and was received there on June 29, 1863. He was transferred to Fort Delaware on July 14, 1863 and died there of "Infection of Liver" on May 31, 1864. He was buried at "Jersey Grove".

- C. W. Holloway Mustered into the Texas Militia on May 25, 1861 at Gaineville. He was 21 years old at the time. On July 22, 1861 he was discharged by order of the Adjutant Marshall on account of the Company having more than 100 men.

- C. E. Holmes Taken prisoner during the fall of 1862 Kentucky campiane, paroled, exchanged and reported again for duty on December 22, 1862. Federal records state that Holmes was captured at Garrett City, Kentucky on October 18, 1862 and sent to Camp Chase. He was 23 years old at the time of his induction to Camp Chase. He was on detail to herd Confederate States horses from May 22, 1863 through at least the date of the final muster roll.

- Christopher Columbus Hornbuckle Mustered into the Texas Militia on May 25, 1861 at Gaineville. He was 21 years old at the time. Then in Confederated States Army he was wounded in the battle at Murfreesboro, Tennessee. His being detailed as a Teamster "June 1863" is remarked on the last two muster rolls.

- J. C. Howeth Mustered into the Texas Militia on May 25, 1861 at Gaineville. He was 19 years old at the time. James Edwards substituted for him on September 16, 1861.

- William Hughey Mustered into the Texas Militia on May 25, 1861 at Gaineville. He was 27 years old at the time. His last name also written as Huey. The 1861 Confederate muster roll states that he was present for duty from November 15th to December 31st. He was present, on duty as teamster for the 1862 and April 30, 1863 muster rolls. Received extra pay ($0.25/day) for Teamster work from February 1st through May 31st of 1863. Present for duty as Wagon Master on last two muster rolls.

- G. W. Jones Mustered into the Texas Militia on May 25, 1861 at Gainesville. He was shown as 20 years old on the first two State Muster Rolls and 21 years old on the third. He mustered into Confederate States service and was present on regular Cavalry duty until he is shown on detail as Teamster for the April 30, 1863 muster roll. Jones deserted from camp near Rome, Georgia on August 3, 1863. No further records on file.

- J. C. Jones Mustered into the Texas Militia on May 25, 1861 at Gainesville. He was shown as 38 years old. Discharged from the CSA on July 25, 1862. No reason was given but it probably was overage. Paid on November 11, 1862 by T. W. Randolph, AQM.

- J. P. Jones Mustered into the Texas Militia on May 25, 1861 at Gainesville. He was only 15 years old that summer. Private Jones was discharged from the Confederate States Army by virtue of the Conscript Act on November 24, 1862. Paid $140.40 on December 18, 1862. Files contain a faded out, illegible discharge paper. The discharge was for most likely for under age.

Paroled at Jackson, Mississippi on May 19, 1865. Residence was given as Cooke County, Texas.

Puryear on June 23, 1862 with chronic diarrhea. Certificate of Discharge gives age of 22 (again), born in Lincoln County, Tennessee and a Farmer by occupation before the war.

E) as Government Agent by order of General Wheeler from November 20, 1863 to February 2, 1864. Captured February 3, 1864 at Sand Mountain, Alabama. Sent as POW to Nashville, Louisville and Fort Delaware, Delaware. Took oath of allegiance and was released on June 9, 1865. Residence was Cooke County, Texas.

Remark on final muster roll states: "Prisoner of War since 9-15(-1863). Captured at Mudtown, Ga." Federal POW records state that John Reed was captured September 10, 1863 near Alpine, Georgia and forwarded to Louisville on September 30, 1863 for exchange. One military prison record at Louisville states that he was captured on September 20, 1863 at Chickamauga, Georgia. Reed was transferred to Camp Douglas, Illinois on October 2, 1863. Two Camp Douglas POW rolls have entries that he was captured on September 10, 1863 at Sommerville, Georgia. Discharged from Camp Douglas on June 14, 1864 in accordance with General Order #109. Gave residence as Fannin County, Texas.

In CSA service, he was present until on 1864 muster roll when he was absent "Detailed with Hughes Subterranean Battery." I haven't yet found a reference as to what this was. Could it mean land mines?

- Lewis Williams Mustered into the Texas Militia Company on May 25, 1861 at Gainesville. He is shown as 33 years old on the State Muster Rolls. Shown present only on the 1861 Confederate Muster Roll for this Company.. No further records except a Parole of Honor, dated July 5, 1865 in the Trans-Mississippi Department, where Private Lewis Williams signed as being with Company "B", 2nd Texas Infantry.

- Silas W. Williams Was a substitute for private Warren Lynch in the Texas Militia Company from September 2, 1861. In Confederate service he was present until captured at Dandridge, Tennessee on January 17, 1864. Federal records state that he was captured on January 19th. Silas Williams was forwarded to Louisville Miliatary Prison, for exchange. He was thence sent and received at Rock Island Barracks on February 18, 1864. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on October 6, 1864. The records contain correspondence regarding his records from the Attorney General's Office (AGO), dated May 20, 1912.

Also shown present for all Confederate Muster Rolls. Captured near Florence, Alabama on October 10, 1864. Sent to Camp Chase, Ohio and received there on October 24, 1864. Took oath of allegience on June 12, 1865. Gave age as 20 years and residence as Cooke County, Texas with oath. File contains a Statement of Service sent to the Chairman, Oklahoma Board of Pension Commissioner in Oklahoma City on August 6, 1915.

- William J. Wisdom Mustered into the Texas Militia Company on May 25, 1861 at Gainesville. He is shown as 20 years old on the State Muster Rolls. In Confederate service he used private horse on the remounting of the Regiment in 1863. Listed as Deserted from camps near Rome, Georgia on August 3, 1863. No 1864 muster roll records. However, he was captured and sent to Camp Chase exactly as Private Wininiger, above. Died at Camp Chase on January 28, 1865. Buried in grave No. 930, south of Camp Chase. Cause of death is given as: "Con. Chills".

- John Woods No muster roll records. He was discharged on July 17, 1862. A copy of a Discharge Certificate states that he was enlisted by Major __ Linsey of the 2nd Regiment Missouri State Guards at Stoney Point, Arkansas on April 10, 1862. Transferred to the 11th Texas Cavalry on April 23, 1862. He was born in Cooper County, Missouri and 27 years old at the time of discharge. He had been a Farmer, prior to enlistment. Surgeon John W. Rainey wrote that Private Woods had "Thithesis Pulmondus" (or something like that) and will never be able for duty.

- Joseph R. Yeriow Mustered into the Texas Militia Company on May 25, 1861 at Gainesville. He is shown as 33 years old on the State Muster Rolls. Absent, sick for the 1861 Confederate Muster Roll. Discharged on February 12, 1862.
